Dynastar Powertrack 89 Skis + SPX 12 Bindings 2015

Dynastar Shop all Dynastar
Dynastar has broken the mold with the introduction of their new Powertrack all-mountain series, building a freeride-oriented 5 point sidecut into the skis in place of the usual flared tip. The result is easier turn initiation, quick pivoting in tight quarters, less hookiness at the tip, and better float in powder. The amazing thing is they've managed to maintain the trademark Dynastar stability and edgehold. The Dynastar Powertrack 89 Skis + SPX 12 Bindings package is the widest ski in the range and the best suited to deeper snow; it also gets two layers of Titanal metal for absolute security and smoothness at higher speeds.
Rocker Type
All Mountain Rocker - Moderate rocker at tip and tail combined with camber underfoot provides a huge sweet spot for balance and control. The shorter running length inspires easy pivoting and playful performance in all snow conditions.
5-Point Sidecut - A reverse (tapering) sidecut at tip and tail is combined with traditional sidecut underfoot to give you the best of all worlds. More playful and less hooky in soft snow with effortless speed control, the ski is still capable of powerful and precise carved turns on the groomed.
Full Wood Core
2 Titanal Layers
Sandwich Laminate Construction - Layers of metal or high-tech laminate enhance power and stability.
Full Length Vertical Sidewalls - Deliver the ultimate edge grip, power and balance
Included Bindings
Bindings Do Not Come Mounted to Skis - Always have a certified binding technician mount and adjust your bindings.
Includes Look SPX 12 Bindings - Bindings must be mounted and adjusted prior to use.

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker
Rocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as will as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.
  • Turning Radius: Short
  • Core/Laminates: Metal, Wood
  • Tail Type: Flat
This is your traditional tail, designed to have edge contact all the way through the tail, and only designed for skiing forward. This is also preferred for alpine touring, as you can stick the tails of your skis in the snow.
