Atomic Blackeye Skis + XTO 12 Bindings 2014

Atomic Blackeye Skis + XTO 12 Bindings is a perfect package to ramp up your skiing and confidence on all types of terrain. The All Mountain Rocker profile will allow you to carve through crud, soft snow and groomers equally well while the Cap Fiber construction keeps the ski light and easy to control. Featuring ARC technology that keeps the ski flexing naturally and Step Down Sidewall 2.0 for excellent edge grip and durability, the Blackeye skis will take your skiing to new levels. What more could you ask for in a ski package?
Rocker Type
All Mountain Rocker - This ski profile is composed of 15% rocker in the tip and 85% camber throughout the rest of the ski. This provides excellent performance and control on all snow conditions and any terrain.
Flex
ARC Technology - This binding platform frees your skis to flex naturally under your foot which in turn allows you to use all of the edge. This gives you the traction needed to grip in any type of snow, making your ride smoother and more natural.
Core
Cap Fiber - Cap Fiber is a lightweight construction that is designed to reduce weight and makes the ski especially easy to control.
Sidewalls
Step Down Sidewall 2.0 - This design features a new one-piece sidewall construction that provides outstanding edge grip and greater durability.
Additional Features
Half-Cap Construction - This construction at the tip and tail area protects the ski from edge damage.
Included Bindings
XTO 12 Ski Bindings - The Atomic XTO series epitomizes high performance, ultra-lightweight bindings.
Bindings Do Not Come Mounted to Skis - Always have a certified binding technician mount and adjust your bindings.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Carving
    All-Mountain
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
    Carving
For those that like the classic feeling of laying a ski over on edge and arcing a perfect turn, carving skis are what you want. These skis have narrower waists and shorter turn radii for edge to edge quickness and responsive turn initiation and exit on groomed runs and hard pack. The beginner-intermediate skis in this category are designed to make learning how to turn as easy as going from pizza to French fries.
  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
    Beginner-Intermediate
Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber
    Rocker/Camber
Rocker/Camber skis pair a traditional cambered profile underfoot with an elongated, early rise tip borrowed from fully rockered skis. This profile places the front contact point further back from the tip, while the rear contact point remains close to the tail. The rockered tip allows for better flotation and less edge catch for increased float in deep snow, while the cambered rear stores and transmits energy similarly to a fully cambered ski.
  • Turning Radius: Short
  • Core/Laminates: Foam
  • Tail Type: Partial Twin Tip
    Partial Twin Tip
Partial twin tip skis have a tail that is turned up, but not as much as the tip. This gives you the ability to ski backwards and back out of tight spaces, but these skis are mainly designed to ski forward.
