In 1991, Richard "Wooly" Woolcott and Tucker "T-Dawg" Hall were snowboarding in Tahoe and decided to start a clothing company. They founded it on the belief that there is a higher level of consciousness to be found within oneself through the internal and external journeys that board-sports, music, art and film provide. That became Volcom, the Costa Mesa, California-based snow, surf and skate brand that sticks to the motto, “True to This.” Clearly, Volcom’s into shredding, but they’re also building a community around art, music, and more. Kind of like us.

Urban styled technical outerwear is Volcom’s signature, like the HR&S (handrails and shit) line for urban riding. On the opposite spectrum, Guide Proven Technology outerwear includes super weather resistant GORE-TEX® and their Zip Tech interface, which marries your jacket to your pants. Jackets are typically styled long for powder days, and streetwear for off the hill look just as good. Insulation technology like the Thermal Defense 2 (TD2) gear is waterproof but wicks on the inside and stretches with you, so you can look good, feel great, and stay comfortable on or off the mountain.
