In 1975, Jim Janard named his startup brand Oakley after his golden retriever, Oakley Anne. Soon after that he came out with the O Frame Goggle, which became an instant classic. Oakley’s still making iconic eyewear for a huge variety of activities, while expanding into ski and snowboard outerwear, apparel, packs and more. Based in Foothills Ranch, California, they’re dedicated to purpose beyond reason.
The folks at Oakley are a dedicated bunch, with a history rooted in the sports evo knows and loves (Session 1242 anyone?). With a stacked team including our own Shota Tezuka, and a constant pursuit of innovative technologies, Oakley is a force to be reckoned with.
At its core, Oakley is all about perfect vision. Their newest development is Prizm Lens Technology, which lets you see clearly in a wide range of light conditions.

While still making beloved classic styles like the Crowbar Goggles or Frogskin Sunglasses, Oakley updates the technology to make sure that nothing gets in the way of seeing what’s in front of you.
Their outerwear is just as on point. From best-in-class GORE-TEX® Pro to their own Hydrogauge™ waterproof breathable membranes, to the stylish yet technical details garnered from years of athlete feedback, Oakley outerwear rules.
