I needed to replace my old, insulated Northface 3/4 zip pullover. I wanted to switch to a shell so I could adjust my layering during warmer days without having to change jackets. I used it the first time skiing at Whitefish Mtn in Montana. The Moe worked great at blocking the wind and snow and allowed me freedom of movement with both a fleece on one day and a DNA down sweater on the cold, windy and snowy day.
It is a bit odd getting used to having the zipper on the left side but this is a minor issue which passes quickly.

This is a great jacket. Perfect designed for layering for the days that start out cold and gradually warm. The ventilation zippers under the arms open wide and allow you to stay cool without over heating while hiking for fresh tracks. The pass pocket is perfect, hidden yet easily accessible. This is my second version of this coat, loved the first might as well get the same thing! I also wore this jacket to my son's soccer match, 40 degrees, steady rain, I was warm and dry!

This jacket is extremely high quality. I've had other DNA items in the past and they've exceeded my expectations, as did the 2013 DNA Moe. The fit is baggier than Arcteryx, but the quality of materials exceeds every other jacket I've tried on (including Arcteryx). The fabric is a lot less noisy.
I'm 5'8", 165lbs, and purchased a medium, as I wear a medium in almost every brand. I returned it for a small. Read the sizing chart carefully, and if you're choosing between sizes, I'd recommend going smaller. Ordering a medium was my own fault because I failed to read the DNA sizing chart before ordering.
