Comments about Arc'teryx Sabre Jacket:

I initially purchased two sizes - L and XL for my SO. He generally wears an XL in Arc'teryx but the XL was much too big. The L fit him perfectly and he is able to layer an Atom LT jacket underneath without a problem. The hood fits perfectly over a helmet and love the standup collar to keep the wind off the face when on the lift. The hood generally sits too high and doesn't create a good seal if you don't intend to wear a helmet. Initially he was concerned the sleeves would be too long but after wearing it a few times out feels that they are the perfect length in combo with either gauntlet or non gauntlet gloves. The cut is perfect for skiing. He is warm, and dry. Construction is awesome as it always is with Arc'teryx clothing. My SO is 6'2" and 210lbs and we ski 90% inbounds. He generally runs warm and generally does not have to layer an atom underneath it - only wears a baselayer of wool 150 when it is 25F and above. When it is going below 20F he will layer. Return of the XL jacket was super easy at EVO and the staff was excellent and friendly.

The sizing chart is accurate; don't go big.

Comments about Arc'teryx Sabre Jacket:

Read the sizing chart. I bought an XL and I was swimming in it (I am 6'2, 209 with a 36 inch sleeve). The large was perfect. I wear this over a baselayer, R1 and a nano puff jacket without any issue or restriction. I could easily swap out the nano puff for a heavier layer if necessary. Would be nice to have a lift ticket anchor point on this coat. That's my only gripe after about 6 days of skiing in it so far.
