The product has the easy to install rubber flaps that fold over certain cross bar types on many vehicles and SUV's. The product takes too many turns to loosen (or tighten) to make this something you want to do every trip, which is remove the ski rack. You'll wind up doing 80 turns (4 x 20 turns) to get this thing loose or tight enough based on removing or installing the rack from your cross bars. The product could be more aerodynamic or it could have a lay flat (option) for easy into and out of the garage for high profile vehicles and even more important on road aerodynamics. Bottom line, Thule loves to charge for its name, and their innovation with products is only so-so.

That said the product still beats many on the market, is USA made, but I'd still like to see someone eat Thule's lunch on this product, it's a 3 star product.

I usually have only one snowboard, but when I do take others, it works great fitting the other snowboards up there. It works great on my '01 Jeep Cherokee.

I just wish it had a way to let me know when I forget to close it before driving off...hah
