Patagonia Powder Bowl Pants 2012: Some runs are purely stellar, some purely for survival; the Patagonia Powder Bowl Pants are made for both. With a rugged 2-layer polyester shell that’s bonded to a GORE-TEX® membrane using GORE-TEX® Performance Shell technology for the highest level of waterproof/breathable performance available. The only thing that’s stronger than the Patagonia Powder Bowl Pant is probably the mountain itself.

Shell: 2-layer, 4.3-oz 150-denier 100% polyester with waterproof/breathable GORE-TEX® Performance Shell technology and a DWR (durable water repellent) finish
Lining: seat, upper thighs: 100% brushed polyester mesh; legs: 100% polyester mesh
Tech Features
Durable 2-layer polyester shell with GORE-TEX® ® Performance Shell and Deluge® ® DWR (durable water repellent) finish keeps you dry during a heavy snowstorm; combination of brushed and slick mesh lining keeps you warm and wicks away moisture
Loops on rear yoke securely attach pant to powder skirt on any Patagonia® Ski/Snowboard Jacket to keep snow out
Articulated knees improve mobility and reduce bulk
Slim Zip installation with watertight coated zippers for reduced zipper bulk and weight
Gaiters keep the snow out, while tough scuff guards protect inside of leg and bottom hem.

      The powder pants were very comfortable and worked as directed. They not only kept the snow out and the water from my inner layers, but they also allowed me to unzip a side to keep the sweat from forming. The only knock I have is they fit a bit toward the "baggy" style - not quite my style, but my son loved them.
