I took these on a week trip to Colorado without trying them out first. I brought my old pants 'just in case' but never wore them once. The MFRs were awesome. Cut way down on the cold butt issue when strapping in thanks to the extra fleece in the butt and knees. We were in knee deep powder, but never had an issue - the leg gaiters were tight, and the snaps around the waist matched with my Oakley jacket's snowskirt. I got several compliments on the color. The only issue I had was gaping at the waist, leaving my back open to cold air when strapping in, but I have this issue with normal pants too, so it might just be me. There is an adjustable waistband/velcro system that helped a little. Overall I love these pants and plan to use these for a long time.
