    Comments about Marmot Mantra Pants:

I ordered the size based on the recommendations and they seemed two sized too large. The inseam seemed tailored for someone over 6.5' . Quality seemed good though, but was ultimately looking for something more tailored

    Comments about Marmot Mantra Pants:

These pants were very good for a week-long visit to Jackson Hole. I used them for resort, side-country, and backcountry riding, in snow ranging from deep powder to spring conditions. They were best in cold powder on the resort, just warm enough and they kept out the wind and snow perfectly. In warmer conditions and while hiking, I wished for larger vents. In spring conditions, the MemBrain waterproofing performed very well.

Sizing is a little odd. They are described as relaxed fit, so if you're between sizes, order the smaller one. Even so, expect them to be long. This gives plenty of room to get low for grabs or sketchy landings, but you'll need to roll them up if you keep them on after changing out of your boots.

Overall very good pants. And I love the bright solid colors!

Worked well for a CAT skiing trip in BC. Shed snow very well. Never got wet anywhere, even while up to my butt in snow. Withstood a treewell plunge. Roomy fit, like made for a Snowbaorder, but worked well for a 2planker too.

          Comments about Marmot Mantra Pants:

Normally, I wear "medium" size,, and I own other marmut gear in "medium" size that fit well. These were way too big in waist and somewhat too long in length. I did not try size "small"

Perhaps, this is what is meant by "loose" fit:
Runs apx. two sizes larger than what would fit normally so that you can look like a soul searching high schooler trying to impersonate a 1990s MTV gangster.

Return process was easy, though. Brought back to physical store in Fremont, even though I bought online.

Since they did not fit, I was not able to field test.

          Comments about Marmot Mantra Pants:

I bought these pants in Blue while I was on a ski trip. I have never had such a versatile piece of clothing. Bonus that they have really good pockets in the right places. Really waterproof. Had to get another from Evo in the gray to go with my other jacket. The other (1 year old) pants I had are going into the "Donate" pile!

Weird fit- too tight in crotch and but area, higher in front than back. Was wondering if they sent me womens pants but tag said mens! LOL! Sent them back.

                Comments about Marmot Mantra Pants:

These are great for skiing. They have almost all of the features that I find important in ski pants, lots of pockets that are waterproof, very colorful, warm stuff on your butt and cuff protectors.

the only thing that I don't like is that the heels drag when you're not wearing ski boots. I've seen other pants that have something you can use to avoid that but these pants do not. I hope that the cuff reinforcement is adequate to prevent this from damaging the pants, but either way it's annoyin to step on your heels.
