Living in the Pacific Northwest means soggy days on the mountains. Sometimes it rains, and even when it snows, the water content is high. If you ride enough, you will get soaked.

I learned my lesson this year and bought both the Cyclic jacket and pants. My life immediately changed. Some folks can handle soggy britches. I cannot. I put the entire outfit to the test on a rainy day up at Summit Central. When I decdided to take a break at Whiskey Pete's, I looked around. All around me people were soaked. Their base layers looked like they were put through the washer, but not the dryer. I stayed dry--comfortably, wonderfully dry.

My only beef is that I first ordered an X-Small which is what I wear in other Burton gear. It was really, really snug at the waist and short on the inseam. I ended up with a small which is fine in the waist, but 30in on the inseam which is the longest I can take it.

Overall, this is likely my go-to Gore-tex outfit from now on.

Another great AK product. I like this year cuts much better, compared to previous years - not too baggy, but not a slim fit neither - just the right cut. If compared to previous years (i also have 09/10 and 10/11) - i had to go one size up (from S to M, and i'm 5'9, 165). Size M may seem to run just a half inch short to me, though it still fits perfect. It keeps you absolutely dry, and i love no insulation - usually your legs work a lot and generate a lot of heat, and just a base layer bottoms (i used UA 2.0 or Smartwool midweight, depending on conditions) worked just fine for me - never felt freezing. And Smurf color is sick - like it. I compared those to Stagger pants also and liked those more - there is one cargo pocket less and you don't have outside vents on Cyclic (inside vents worked just fine), but i just loved the fit and color better. Would highy recommend, and for me - if i'll be looking for a bargain at the end of the season, i'd rather recommend 11/12 year over 10/11.
