Comments about Arc'teryx Theta SV Bib Pants:

A few season ago I got a pair of these bibs as part of a GORE-TEX testing program. Since then, I've worn them primarily for skiing, both backcountry and resort.
Overall, I've been very happy with the bibs. They're very waterproof (kept me dry even on days that turned to rain) and the high-cut bib keeps snow and water out. Full lenth sealed zippers allow for easy venting without leaking. Last winter while working at the mountain, there were a couple pretty nasty rain days; I wore these instead of my work-issued pants and stayed dry.
These are definitely a lighter-weight shell, great for touring in, but have zero insulation and don't hold much heat in. That's been a plus the rest of the year, when I've occasionally used them for rainy day hikes and even a few rafting trips.
The downside to the lightweight material is that it does rip relatively easily. I have a few nicks in the knees (probably from telemarking), although the reinforced bottom cuffs have held up well.
The other downside is the pockets - the only two small pockets are high on the bib portion of the pants and are hard to get at if you're wearing a jacket and a pack. Not much use for anything bigger than keys or a small snack.
