As I was getting into my middle age years, I was challenged to find a wetsuit that would fit well. The extra pounds that I tacked on made this challenging. I especially had problems finding a suit that fit my shoulders. Generally if the shoulders fit, the legs and legs were too long. I even had a Rip Curl (4mm/3mm) 2XL short cut down on the legs and arms. I finally got a Oneil RG8 XL (3mm/2mm) and and it fits great. Because it fits so well, the thinner Oneil is just as warm as my thicker Rip Curl. Very happy with this purchase.
Only challenge is getting in and out of the suit (chest zip) but you eventually find your own way of getting out of the suit.

Great suit, pretty easy to put on, a bit of technique required to take off. Super comfy apart from being tight accross the shoulders (thats perhaps more my body shape). I use this suit as my summer suit in Wellington (water 14-18 degrees) then go to Psycho Freak 4/3 in Winter.

I get full range of motion for ocean paddling, surfing with my SUP. Even though this is a lighter weight suit I stay very warm. Never get cold water down the neck.

I use the wetsuit mostly for surfing and overall I'm pretty happy with it.

It is warm, comfortable and very flexible. Fit is good although a little tight under the arms.

The real only downside I see is the putting on and off... which require some skills if alone! I have a weak shoulder due to an old injury and this make the exercise rather difficult; I worry also that I end up tearing it up faster than a good old back entry wetsuit.

I surf about 3 to 5 times a week waves permited. The water in Peru in the winter can get pretty cold and the RG8 is very nice.

However; the suit is a pain to put on, and to take off.

The fit is true to size and feels great in the water.

Great wetsuit that is proving to be as warm as my Rip Curl 4/3. It arrived quickly and was bought at a really great sales price. Stoked!

Got this wetsuit to replace my old 3/2 quiksilver, which I thought was top quality. However, this wetsuit is super comfy and extremely warm. It has been used several times a week for the past few months with no real signs of wear, which was my main concern from previously owning O'Neill top entry wetsuits.
