Comments about Ronix Hoverboard Wakeskate 2013:

This wakeskate is awesome, however defective issues by Ronix make it not so awesome and wear takes a toll way to quick. I have been through 2 of these skates this summer alone, because of a defect straight outta the box. A large staple sticking between the plys of wood (the weirdest thing i've ever seen) caused me to take it back to those guys and get another one. I really love this skate, the shape, the pop, the weight is all money for riding. Wake to wake the board has so much pop and you can control it great. However out of the box I found the board edge needed to be filed down decently because when cutting hard (toe and heel) the board tended to 'bite' the water, sending a little squirelyness. The filing helped a lot, however I have found that on both boards the wood tended to warp and rise only appearing after 3-4 times of riding, directly underneath where the fins (I ride finless) are supposed to be. It may be an issue of water getting into the fin wholes but definitely should not happen. My only other issue with this board is the griptape peels up QUICK. Both of these are minor issues, but ones that definitely affect the longevity of the boards life. I would definitely not pay full price for this board, but if you're willing to deal with a couple of minor issues this board is really fun and great to ride.
