Comments about Hyperlite Scape Wakeskate 2009:

Ok here's the deal. This board is entry level. It's fun, but not much of a performance ride. You may buy it and almost right away wish you bought something better and more expensive. Something with a three stage rocker and variable edges. This board has like zero pop, but that could just be me, or the continuous rocker. I just think it would be really hard to progress on this board.

If you just want to grab a wakeskate you can stick on your boat to let people mess around on and give them a taste of wakeskating, this is a fine board for that at a low price. Getting up isn't hard on it, and cuts at the wake and surface tricks are fairly easy with this board. They will also like it because it's fast, turns okay (with fins on), and doesn't require you to wear shoes (foam top). But if you think you'll be bit by the wakeskating bug, and you probably will be, then spend a little more for performance features.

Comments about Hyperlite Scape Wakeskate 2009:

I'm new to wakeskating, so only have one other wakeskate to compare it to. It feels very solid - easy to get up on, and seems to ride smoothly through a bit of chop. It's not as light and responsive as higher end boards, but seems great for beginners.

Comments about Hyperlite Scape Wakeskate 2009:

I bought this to learn how to wakeskate and it got the job done! I know it s not the best board out there but for learning it was awesome. No need for shoes with this board. My only complaint is that water seeped through the finish into the wood and made it start to crack

Comments about Hyperlite Scape Wakeskate 2009:

I got this for [$] from evo gear during a sale they had. For the price, I had so much fun with this wakeskate. I'm not sure if I will ever upgrade to a nicer skate, but for the moment I am loving this one and might buy a second one at the current $79 price just in case the first one gets messed up. Definitely recommended.

its very smooth and responds well, the only thing I would change is the Eva-Foam top, if you could get this board with a Grip-Top it would be amazing.

very good board for a beginer. i found that the paint peels from being in the water and i have already repainted and waterproofed mine after one summer. overall the board is pretty stable and easy to maneuver in the water and perfect for the beginers and those who just want to try the sport without sending a bunch of money
