Made with the traditional 9 ply wood construction, the Hyperlite Scape Wakeskate gives that classic snap and feel on the water. Designed with a similar rocker line and traction pad as some of Hyperlite’s higher-end decks but for less money, the Hyperlite Scape Wakeskate offers the most pop and control off the water, allowing for serious bootless freedom of expression at an incredibly affordable value.

The Scape was my first wakeskate. I learned how to wakeskate off of this board. The feel of the board is not agressive or advanced. It is perfect for beginners because it does not respond too fast for the rider to compensate. I thuroughly enjoyed this wakeskate for using in smooth water. There are two problems with this board. First, the deck is not formed to keep your feet on the board. Most wakeskates have indents for your feet, this one does not. Also, do not plan to hit any rails or anything solid with this board. Because it is made from wood, it is easily scratched and I found the paint chipped very easily when it comes in contact with a solid surface. Overall this board fit my needs for learning to skate at a great price.

I am not someone that is going to spend all day wake skating, most of the time I'm wakeboarding. I just bought it mostly to have something new to do. It works great. The only gripe I have is the finish on the bottom of the board doesn't seem like it will hold up very long. The decal is already coming off. It won't effect the performance one bit so it doesn't bother me but if your someone that likes your equipment to look real good for a long time then this is something you should think of. All in all I am super happy with it for what I paid.

    I have been wakeboarding hard for 3 years. Tried wakeskating for the 1st time and absolutely love it! Freedom. Harder to catch air on this light board, but very nimble, quick, smooth, and fun. Perfect for the new guy learning to skate. Great price! Learning curve is very fast if you board.

    I have been wakeboarding for several years and have wanted to try wakeskating so I bought the Hyperlite Scape since I already had a Hyperlite wakeboard and really liked it. The board is a lot of fun to ride, very smooth but it also has good pop off the wake. Overall it's a great board, but after like the first ride the paint on the bottom of the board started to chip, and it got progressivly worse over the summer. Other than that I like the board.

            I am a beginner wakeskater. Being 6'4" and 240 pounds I found this skate very easy to use supported me well. I was stable and allowed me to turn very easily. It worked best in smooth water but I found I could handle rougher water much easier than expected. The top padding provided plenty of traction for my bare feet.
