Product Info

As Wakeskating continuously evolves and demands more from each athlete, the rider has to get the most from their skate. Brian has always demanded the most of himself and has spent the past season developing the Hyperlite Model G Wakeskate. Working closely with shaper Scott Bouchard, the Hyperlite Model G Wakeskate comes in at 42” weighing 11& ¾ lbs. Increasing the decks overall profile provides a larger more consistent pop off all wake sizes and boosts ollie power when approaching rails and drops. The weight is achieved by an internal system strategically placed so the deck’s rotational axis stays true. Hyperlite went to town on the top deck, pushing the concaves to their outer most points and covering the deck with a pure grip tape top delivering more room to control and feel the board. A blended 3-stage rocker combined with tip and tail channels maintain the Grubb & Butch feel you’ve come to love, but overall this is a vastly improved skate you must jump on!

Comments about Hyperlite Model G Wakeskate 2011:

i havent tried to do any tricks or jump wake to wake yet when i do ill post another review. but all around great board. im 6ft 250lbs and i dont pop right up but its about the same as popping up on my wakeboard. my cousin whos 5ft 8 175lbs popped right up on his first try. i am also being pulled behind a jet boat so it might be easier on a wakeboarding boat. it is very slippery on top of the water but you get the hang of it after a couple rides carves pretty good i cant really think of anything else great board.

Comments about Hyperlite Model G Wakeskate 2011:

I've been riding a standard wood 3-stage for the past 5 years and this is the first "high-end" board I have purchased. Cutting is easy and yet you still get that wakeskate glide. The pop is huge and the concaves keep you locked in when in the air. HIGHLY recommend.

Comments about Hyperlite Model G Wakeskate 2011:

Bought this and love it. Great behind the boat. A lot of pop into the wake. Stays with your feet. The first one i purchases came damaged but Evo replaced it before I even had time to send the damaged one back. The grip tape had a few bubbles. Nothing a razor cant fix. Awesome board if you are looking to ride behind a boat. I would not recommend it for people looking for flat water tricks.
