Product Details

Construction

Mod Pour: a performance alternative core made up from the minds of Ronix’s best. A Ronix exclusive concoction of carbon and atoms that have a higher strength to weight ratio providing a stronger, snappy board with less swing weight

The Krypto Cable (blue dot in cross section), is made up of different fibers brewed and woven together to make an unbeatably strong compound. This feature wraps around the profile of the board and fuses with Ronix’s unique Mod Pour Core and monocoque laminated glass (yellow line in the cross section) making the sidewalls the strongest part of the board - not the weakest. This provides a ride not only with strength, but with proven flexibility. Your board will keep its intended rocker shape all the way through the wake, transition to the landing. You’ll feel the board under your feet like never before

Carbon R3 Technology, thousands of woven fibers picked specifically for their high tensile strength, lower overall weight, and low thermal expansion; this keeps your rocker a rocker so your board will feel fresh day after day

Rocker and Base Features

Early Arc/Medium Degree Rocker: A mellow rocker profile designed with an early arc (closer bindings) and a medium degree arc angle (8.1°), make for a rocker that shapes with the wake so the board will keep all its energy up until the point the tail pops off the wake. This style of rocker creates energy all the way through the wake that the rider can feel. Time your jumps to get that extra bit of speed off the wake and into the landing or simply ride it traditional for a super fun ride with mellow jumps and landings. Specifically designed to mesh with Ronix’s Carbon R3 Technology – for durable flex and strength – this board will feel more like your favorite snowboard or favorite skate

Jib-friendly, Sintered Base, most durable non-stick compound Ronix has ever tested on rails without losing any glide on the water

Deep symmetrical channels on base help with acceleration thru a turn and push the rider into the wake

Subtle tunnel shape for more efficient water flow underneath the board and stabilized landings

4 fiberglass 1.0” inch fins and 4 fiberglass 0.8” inch slider fins; a fin actually designed to be seshed on rails. Engineered with a wider profile, flatter bottom surface, and durable construction have no worries these fins are ready for it all. Also designed for riders that like that “finless feel”, the wider design creates turbulence under the board giving it a looser contact with the water

Rails/Edges

Full center rail creates smooth transferring from edge to edge

Mellow center sidewall blends to a more vertical sidewall in the tip and tail allowing the board to ride higher on the water with more glide speed

Ronix’s most exaggerated bottom bevel starts out at 4° in the center blending to 18° in the ends; this gives the rider a super forgiving ride that’s less likely to get caught up on rails

Additional Features

Designed by Pat Panakos, regarded as the most experienced when it comes to designing and building rail parks, and Erik Ruck, wakeboard extraordinaire and with multiple X-Games and Pro Wake Board Tour wins

Artwork – Screened UV clear, gun metal V emblem with lots and lots of flake

Comments about Ronix Phoenix Project Wakeboard w/ Sintered Base 2011:

Great board for any type of ride. Has great edges and speed for big air jumps and tricks. You can break this board loose easy for "Switch" riding, great over all board. Lots of control, and smooth as butter. Takes a bit to get use to the later kick/pop this board has but once you do, it shoots you in the air. Love this board!
