Australia’s Dean Smith has been working with Ronix the past couple of seasons on a new ride that has a super flat rocker under your feet and a really late and abrupt kick that doesn’t punch through the wake. The Ronix Mana Wakeboard was designed to be ridden on edge with a sharper rail throughout the board, but doesn’t need much angle into the wake to get a solid grip. In conjunction with the Ronix Mana Wakeboard, Ronix Kai OT Boots were created for any riding style, containing high-end custom orthotics available in both open toe and closed toe models.
- Boot Features:The Ronix Kai OT Boots have a flex rating of 4 making them a super stiff and responsive boot. They fit like a dream with the Onyx2 liners and 3D molded quad density tongue. The heels are held down with built in J-bars and are made super light with the baseless technology that reduces weight by 1/3 and puts your foot 1/3 closer to the board for improved control.
- Board Features:The Ronix Mana Wakeboard was made with a sharp rail from tip to tail for more effective edging in the water and a softer bevel in the center of the board to prevent catching an edge, ouch. A Slight ‘V’ bottom means a faster edge to edge transition and softer landings.
- Board Construction:The Ronix Mana Wakeboard was made with a Mod Pour alternative core material and Krypto Cables in the sidewalls making them the strongest parts of the board. 8 molded in fins provide enough grip to ride finless but still has an easy release for spins. The 2 fiberglass fins in the middle are for added control.
