Product Info

With a full season of shredding behind them on the latest Hyperlite Murray Pro Model, Hyperlite simply feels, mission accomplished. The goal was to design a series that utilized the pro model features that Shaun has become accustomed to while finding the balance of that user-friendly ride anyone could enjoy: the new Hyperlite Murray Bio Core Wakeboard. Shaun's new shape begins with his first ever Subtle 3-stage rocker line. This new rocker gives the Murray more pop than ever before but it's subtle enough to maintain great speed into the wake and make carving as natural as his previous shapes. The new dual tunnel base contours allow for maximum water flow past the removable .8" P-Wing fins which creates a responsive edge but still allows for a quick release off the wake. The Hyperlite Murray Bio Core Wakeboard is finished off with a variable edge design and exaggerated landing zone for a smooth edge transitions and soft landings.

Product Details

Construction

Monocoque Construction: Integrating the top glass and the bottom glass into one to generate a more durable board on side impacts thus preventing the ol’ side de-lamination

Layered Glass: Overtime, woven glass fibers will separate. A deck with layered glass will have the same snap on a double after 5 seasons as it will on the first one

Biolite 3 Core: a specially formulated blend that has reduced the finished weight of the board by nearly 1/3rd and improved the feel of characteristics over a traditional core

Rocker and Base Features

Subtle 3-Stage Rocker: gives the board more pop than ever, but is subtle enough to maintain great speed into the wake for natural carving

Four 0.8 inch P-Wing fins: creates a responsive edge while allowing for quick release off the wake

Rails/Edges

Variable Edge Design: soft in the center and sharp on the tips and tails, creating a forgiving loose feeling while still allowing for great acceleration across the wake.

Additional Features

Dual Tunnel Channel System: allow for maximum water flow past the P-Wing fins that creates a responsive edge, while still allowing for a quick release off the wake

GND: Product designed by one of wakeboarding’s true innovators, Greg Nelson

Exaggerated Landing Zone: allows for smooth edge transitions and oh so soft landings

Comments about Hyperlite Murray Bio Core Wakeboard 2011:

road this board at the hyperlite demo with the system bindings. its a great board good pop and pretty smooth didn't take much to get used to. was predictable still had good pop. like shaun says anyone can get on it and ride. pretty light with the system bindings but it could also just be the system bindings. i also road the byerly blunt and that board had a very snappy pop little less consistant but definitly felt like more boost, took acouple times to get used to. i road the 137 murray and the 55 blunt, the 55 was a tad heavyer but that could be because it was bigger. i like the blunt better cuz of the snappy pop but thats just my opinion. the murray is a excellent board.

Comments about Hyperlite Murray Bio Core Wakeboard 2011:

I've only taken this board out once yet that's all it took to know that I love it. It is extremely smooth and forgiving. I had someone with me that never rode before and they were able to get and and cross the wake on their second try. Its light and just feels all around good under your feet. The round mid section allows you to ride the board sideways with ease (a buttery feel as some say) yet the sharper edges on the tip and tail combined with the p-wings allow you to hold a nice edge and carve out nearly perpendicular to the boat. My boat doesn't make the biggest wake but I was still able to get good pop (enough to clear the wake and then some). I've ridden 1/2 half dozen or more boards and this is by far the best one I've tried to date. It costs a little more but you get what you pay for.
