Gnarly jibs, meaty double-ups and good style. These are the only ways to describe the legacy of the Byerly Wakeboards Blunt Wakeboard. Shaped by Butch, this board has your summer fun and advancing skills in mind. Features like strategic flex patterns, molded-in style fins, and a blended 3-stage rocker keep you landing soft and slashing hard all summer long.
Construction
Double Lap Construction - This loads the perimeter of the board with extra glass making it more responsive and durable.
Rocker Type
Blended 3-Stage Rocker - provides just enough speed while still maintaining great pop.
Rails/Edges
Full Perimeter Flack Jacket Sidewall - comprised of strands of Carbon, Kevlar, and Fiberglass all woven together in a .25” diameter. When combined these material create a full 360 degree perimeter of added strength, flex, and pop.
Core
Biolite 3 Core - a specially formulated blend that has reduced the finished weight of the board by nearly 1/3rd and improved the feel of characteristics over a traditional core

          I am coming off a total flex board and wanted to get something loose and forgiving
          I forgot how much more pop you get back with a non flexing board
          This boards pops good and lands super soft which is why I went this route ( and why I liked my flex board)
          I think it measures out to be longer it is listed

            Going to try and make this short and sweet.. I have 3 Byerly boards,Monarch54",Assault 55", and the Blunt 55", all 2011 and up. The Blunt has the most pop of the 3. It has a crazy sweet rocker, adjustable outer fins that can move forward for loose action and back for tracking it hard. It is the most versatile of the 3. Don't get me wrong the other 2 have things that i love about them too but the Blunt just fits my style. Very lightweight, solid, versatile, and sick graphics for a low price on sale. What more can you ask for..? Btw.. the Monarch is a lil bit heavier but has good pop and is more stable with the center fin. It's a very solid board. The Assault is the lightest weight it seems and has good pop off the wake as well. Not as stable as the monarch but light, poppy, and fun! The Blunt has a great rocker and pops the best out of all 3. It seems to be in the middle of the weight category(still very light weight). It is my go to...

                    I rode this board at the hyperlite demo with the system bindings. This board is super snappy with big striaght up pop. I didn't find the board slow even with that big of a rocker, but I weight only 120 so it was riding pretty high on the water.I also rode the murray and in comparision the murray was more consisent with good pop but didn't have the snappy straight up pop the blunt had.
