Let's put it this way, Hyperlite bindings are trying to carve out a proprietry setup just like everyone else (Burton comes to mind). With that said this binding on a wakeboard does not even come close to the security of how a snowboard binding works from these aspects:

HYPERLITE SYSTEM BINDINGS...
- Come loose VERY easily

- Ladder straps slip due to poorly developed cranks (lots of space for them to angle and slip)

- Ladder strap plastic is the worst I have ever seen. 20 sets and I had to replace all 4 straps, got 4 new ones and 10 sets later they are getting close to completely worn where I can't even get them tight. I am so cautious of strapping in and being extra careful not to wear the ladder strap teeth, but it doesn't matter what I do because even while riding the flexing from toe to heel causes so much wear and tear on these straps it is only a matter of time before your binding/boot setup is useless.

I have been snowboarding all my life and have never seen a snowboard ladder strap or bindings do what these cheap hyperlite bindings have done.

Beware of the Hyperlite bindings; however their boards are great, and their boots are comfy, but that doesn't really matter if they do not hold to the board.

For the best bindings my vote goes to Ronix.

the guy below me is a complete idiot... i had these binding since the begining of the year and haven't had any wear on the latters. i have even had a couple of diggers to the face and one time straps came out a bit, but honestly no damage the latters.
the only thing that really comes loose is the top boot lacing on the kobalts, the the latters themselves don't come loose at all, unless you fall very very hard.
what i have really noticed compared to other bindings is that the systems toe strap really locks down on your toes, there is hardly any toe lift, the middle trap feels just like any other boot. so if the toe strap locks down on your toe how can there be wear on the straps? he clearly doesn't know how to wear them. and hey if you don't like them you can just use snowboard binding lattters and straps with a little bit of work done.
the only way i could possibly see his straps coming loose and wearing out is if he wears them extremely or over tightend...or wearing them on his toes which makes is loose. its suppose to be over on top of the toes, even though they adverist with them on the the toe, it should be over the toe. i wear mine with the toe strap tight over my toes and the top sug.

Overall I like the system bindings. They are extremely responsive when engaging edges. The bindings are easy to get in and out of and make the entire setup feel lighter. Sometimes the toes strap will come loose during riding. It's best to double or triple check the straps to make sure they are as tight as possible.

What a great product hyperlite came out with. I just got back from Allen, Texasat hydrous wake park and I truely enjoyed this set up 100% Vey easy to strap in and un buckle when I would fall and layed in the water. Havnt tried them behind the boat yet but im excited to see how they work.

extremely easy to use and quick to get out of. definitely would recommend getting these bindings for the best foot to board feel out there.

I love everything about these bindings except the toe strap on my left foot. I got the 2011 ones so they go over and around my toes. The ladders slip a bit some times and then some times they are super secure. Not really sure what the deal is, but overall well worth the money and some FANTASTIC bindings!

Being December in Ohio, I haven't had a chance to really give this new binding system a try, but I expect them to be a game changer in the way I attack the wake. I expect the easy release will make me less tentative...I wouldn't expect to twist my knee around in these. Can't wait to try them.

Only rated them a 4-star as I've yet to get out on them. The quality is superb and service from Evo.com was outstanding.

Great bindings, the upgraded toe straps really improve upon the design. Love the system bindings and the response you get from riding with them.

I ride 4-5 times a week doing approX 5 sets at a time. After 2.5 months of riding toe straps have stripped out. Replaced with new ones and already stripped them out again. Toe strap does not stay on toe and dips when cutting. The response in edging is fantastic. Hard to get a secure feeling.

The binding are easy to put on. Being that this was received as a Christmas Gift, have not been able to use them yet. Did put them on the board and strap myself in. Felt great and cannot wait to get on the water with them?
