Product Info

JD Webb’s first pro model boot was designed to perfectly complement his freeride style. The Hyperlite Kobalt JD Webb Wakeboard Boots interface exclusively with the System Binding allowing for a lightweight feel and maximum comfort. JD’s new boot is built like nothing the wake industry has ever seen because of its true footwear construction. Beginning with a lightweight EVA outsole and TPR impact pods the Hyperlite Kobalt JD Webb Wakeboard Boots create great cushioning under foot. Custom insoles with integrated arch support cradle the foot from maximum stability. Our exclusive Ultralon heat moldable liner material creates a custom fit and comfort throughout the boot. The Hyperlite Kobalt JD Webb Wakeboard Boots also feature a lower cut cuff and softer flexion to provide the broadest range of motion in the System line up.

Comments about Hyperlite Kobalt JD Webb Wakeboard Boots 2011:

I am a 7.5, ordered a 7-8 so tight I returned them, got the 9 still tight in the toe but usable, going to try riding with the insole out, my poor baby toe went numb first set, I am not to sure about these boots yet, I can't tell if I feel disconnected from the board or not vs. regular bindings.

    Good Light Boot for Kitesurfing

Comments about Hyperlite Kobalt JD Webb Wakeboard Boots 2011:

I use this boot for Kite surfing. It attaches easily to North kiteboards that use the Track system, or a wakestyle specific kite board. The kiteboard threaded inserts are slightly different, but any good hardware store will sell you longer screws to fit the bindings.

Pros: They make you look like Daft Punk when you walk around in them!! They are great for walking across those tricky spots to launch. No booties needed. The low cut and flex it perfect giving you maneuverability to really tweak your tricks, and you can always crank the bindings down hard on the fly if you want the extra stiffness.

Cons: These are allot harder to get in and out of the bindings than I thought, especially when you have a kite pulling you around while you do it. The lases don't stay in their 'stash' pocket and hang around everywhere making it even harder to get in and out in a hurry.

Despite this the bindings are still a great package. I cannot vouch for how they are behind a boat, but behind a Naish Torch, they are amazeballs.
