It might have been good enough for your grandfather to just take a small surfboard and ride behind the boat, but the team at Byerly thinks that they have done better with the Volt. Their shaper, Butch, took the features that have made their previous wakesurfers a success and added a Biolite 3 Core for lightness and durability (without the sticker shock of an epoxy board) and a minimal tail rocker and dual concave base so that the Volt is faster than any board you've ridden before, and keep you locked into the sweet spot in the curl. And because they know that you don't just want to sit behind the boat, they added customizable fins; this allows you to have a tip fin when you need that extra traction while riding switch, and to set up the board the way your style dictates. Don't just ride a surfboard, ride a wakesurfer.
