Mountain Hardwear Windstopper Tech Vest: The Mountain Hardwear Windstopper Tech Vest is windproof, breathable, and highly durable – an essential part of any layering system. Windstopper® fabric and powerful Durable Water Repellant finish keep you warm and dry when the weather turns nasty and provides superior natural UV resistance when the weather heats back up.
Material
The face fabric used on the WINDSTOPPER® is a durable 100% polyester microfiber fleece. DWR finish. 9 oz/yd2. The fabric is a three-part laminate-the breathable/windproof membrane is sandwiched between durable face fabrics and soft moisture moving linings. WINDSTOPPER® garments are the perfect insulation layer under a shell or used alone as an outer layer.
Fit
The Mountain Hardwear Windstopper Tech Vest is fitted for alpine climbing and mountaineering with a center back length of 26.5"; 67 cm.

    I knew that Mtn. Hardware made good stuff by name, but had not had the pleasure of owning one of their products. I am certainly not dissapointed with this vest as it keeps me warmer than I expected given its thinness. I have only worn it around town and not had the chance to test it in very cold/windy conditions, though I imagine it will preform to my satisfaction. If you see it in the outlet, I say go for it!

      The great thing about the MH windstopper vest is that not only is lightweight, it is very warm. It's a perfect in-the-house layer. It's also the right thing wear when taking a walk in autumn. I throw on a MH jacket over the vest on cold days outside. On rainy days I'm comfortable and dry with the rainjacket.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
