Flex Rating: 4 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) – A soft, forgiving flex perfect for new riders looking to progress their skills or advancing riders looking to learn tricks.
Fit
Medium Flex Tongue – For greater rebound and durability, the majority of Burton boots feature this dual density tongue construction. Like all of Burton's Thin Profile 3D® Molded Tongues, it's available in one of three flex options based on the boot.
Total Comfort Construction – Get an instantly broken-in feel right out of the box. Total Comfort's industry-exclusive construction eliminates the break-in period for a fit that feels just as good from opening day to day 100.
Liner
Imprint™ 1 Liner with Integrated Lacing – Extremely comfortable and lightweight. Features an integrated lacing system and inner lace lock. The power panels and molded EVA footbed are heated moldable.
Lacing System
Boa® Coiler™ Closure System – A highly dependable lacing system that can be adjusted at a moment's notice anytime, anywhere. The simple twist of the knob at the top of the boot strategically tightens in just the right places.

Beginner-Intermediate Whether you’re new to the sport or working on linking smooth turns, you fall into this ability level. Typical beginner skis and snowboards are usually built with softer materials, narrower widths, and feature cap construction for an easy to turn, forgiving ride. Beginner-intermediate boots and bindings are also built for ease of use and progression, featuring softer flexes and in the case of ski bindings, quick and safe release from the ski in case of a fall.

Medium The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
