I bought these on-line without trying them on and they fit great for a M/L size face. They offer great coverage and the optics are excellent. After about a year, the lenses started to delam, resulting in hazy vision. I sent them back to Smith and they sent me a brand new pair. After dealing with troublesome warranty issues with Kaenon, it was such a relief that Smith Optics really stands behind their lifetime warranty. Smith Optics - you now have a customer for life.

Great coverage, great lens/frame combos for the first issue of the style. I got the black/grey polarized. I have a large brain-box, and have worn my Touchstone with polarchromic glass almost every day this summer. I was encouraged by the Mastermind and ordered. They were delivered about a week ago and I love them - finally a contemporary style that fits me. Good frontal coverage, but it's not a wrap-around style so you do get light in the sides. The way they sit off the face gives them a "full leisure" ranking from me. I have concerns about the hinges though. I'm afraid that wearing them all day, day after day, will stretch them out because the hinges don't have the double-flex that the Touchstone do. They open, then start flexing a little. This is bad news from my experience with a pair of SPY glasses years ago - they stretched out and then didn't fit and wound up under my seat and not being worn. So, put in a flex-hinge and you've got 5 stars!

Awesome

Comments about Smith Mastermind Sunglasses:

This was my first ever purchase of this brand while on a business trip to Salt Lake City, UT. I was little nervous about spending that kind of money on a pair of shades but I am happy I did. I love them.

Love(d) my ChromaPop Masterminds...

By

from Vermont, USA

Comments about Smith Mastermind Sunglasses:

I've had 4 pairs of masterminds, black, blue, blue again, and finally tortoise shell ChromaPop. Once i bought the ChromaPops, i stopped wearing other glasses. I always had these on. Even when it was cloudy, these glasses are great. One day, about 5 months after i bought these, I was riding my longboard and hit a crack in the road. I didn't fall, but in my awkward run-out, the glasses somehow fell off my face and slid across the pavement, lens down. Massive scratches prevented me from enjoying these ever again. I'm thinking about buying a second pair, but i'm not too keen on shelling out another 200+ bucks.

Very Happy With These Glasses

By

from Portland, Maine

Comments about Smith Mastermind Sunglasses:

I did my research before purchasing these glasses because I could not find a local dealer near me for the purchase. There's always that anxious-hopeful moment between opening a pair of sunglasses and the seconds before you look in the mirror. After putting them on, I knew that I made the right choice. The Chrome Pop experience is pretty dang cool, even on cloudy days when snow reflection causes the need for shades. I have a fairly big head and these fit me perfect. I definitely recommend these sunglasses.

I like these so much I bought 3 pairs

By

from California, USA

Comments about Smith Mastermind Sunglasses:

The Mastermind for me is the perfect pair of sunglasses. I have a large head and they fit perfectly. They are light and very comfy, I often forget I have them on. I started with a pair of Touchstones which are nice but I grew tired of the wrap around style (don't get me wrong though, they are very nice especially with the glass lenses). The Mastermind is a more fashionable style that you can wear in any situation. The lenses are nice and do a great job of reducing glare. I just wish they were available in a glass lense option. Currently I have 3 pairs: Tortoise with polarized brown lenses, Matte black with blacked out lenses, and I recently bought Black with ChromaPop Black/Grey lenses (nicest so far). I can't recommend them enough especially if you have a large face/head.

The Mastermind Rx are a great set of glasses that both look great and offer some sporting compatibility with the rubber nose and ear grips. Great for the active person who enjoys some style!

Fun to kick around in

By

Comments about Smith Mastermind Sunglasses:

These are fun glasses and I like the fact that smith puts out some stuff that is not all about performance. you get what you pay for and these are not as expensive as the higher end performance models. i wear them paddle boarding around the harbor and they do just fine, i just wouldnt wear them when im out on my bike!

Kinda weak and cheap feeling!

By

from Bend, OR, USA

Comments about Smith Mastermind Sunglasses:

I do like the look of these glasses, but unfortunately they feel like a $20 pair of shades. I am going to have to be extra careful with these. The lenses are ok, but I would prefer a darker lens to block more light. As long as they don't break I will be happy with the amount I spent. I was wearing Smith Methods that I loved and were much sturdier and solid feeling.
