This is a great kick around town/school jacket. It will shed light rain for a bit and the wind dosent whip through you. Its moves pretty well too. This is a great softshell for your town coat but nothing more. No poweder skirt, no cuff adjustment, no venting makes this a town only coat.The thing about this and Salomon for that matter is their lack of detail in the jacket. First any jacket should have pit zips! Thats a personal pev. But the thing that grinds my gears is the way the zipper zips up and the top of the neck line. Just look at the picture and you will see that there is a gap between the top of the zip and the neck line. I have to keep it on my chin or else I will get this nasty chaffing from the exposed zipper while getting a side to side chafe from the ridges formed by the gaps on either side of the zipper. TOTAL FAIL by Salomon, come on guys your better than that!That said, this Jacket I scored off [...] for [$] and for that price this is a stellar town/school early fall to winter coat. But for [$] bucks I would look else wear and get something with more features.
