    Sometimes wool socks are super thick which are wonderful on below freezing days. On warmer days--32+--they are tiny iron smelters. I wore these socks on a 40 degree day at Whistler, and my feet did not over heat, I was snug in my boot, and it even helped reduce some foot soreness I was experiencing. If I would have worn my thinner socks, I'm sure my feet would have suffered from getting less support in my packed out boots. I think I will buy more of these--like right now.
