Slash Straight Snowboard 2013

Since the beginning of Gigi Rüf's career, he has always put his two cents into constructing boards. He has finally teamed up with Nidecker to produce his own line of boards: Slash Snowboards. The Slash STRAiGHT Snowboard is the perfect flagship board for his new line. Featuring CamRock technology and a Directional shape, this board offers plenty of strength for rippin' the side (and back) country all day long. Ride like the crazy Austrian himself with the Slash STRAiGHT Snowboard.
Rocker Type
Backseat CamRock - Backseat CamRock gives you everything you need to slay your backcountry line. There is a touch more rocker in the nose to add float and improved maneuverability, matched with a small set-back camber between the bindings to keep your snowboard responsive.
Flex
Responsive - A very stiff board that will give you precision you need to excel in any snow conditions
Shape
Directional - Made for freeriding and powder days, this directional shape will make your board slice through anything and increase floatation.
Laminates
Linseed Fiber - An eco-friendly laminate that is stronger than standard multi-axial fiberglass and allows for a damper, more responsive ride
Base
Sintered Base - Fastest, most durable base available due to high-density carbon molecular structure
Diamond Finish - Gives the base a superb finish that is perfect for absorbing wax
Edges
Ultimate Traction Bumps - 5 strategically placed bumps built into the board's effective edges increases edge hold without increasing drag or sacrificing speed.
35% more steel than typical edges, which means they have two and half times the impact resistance of other edges on the market

Additional Features
Setback Stance - The setback stance will help you ride in powder (helps keep the nose up) and makes it easier to turn and carve in most mountain conditions.

Specs

  • Terrain: Freeride
    Freeride
Freeride snowboards are designed for the rider that spends most of the day off groomed runs and in backcountry terrain. They typically have a stiffer flex and are ridden in longer sizes than freestyle snowboards. Freeride snowboards often feature a directional shape that is designed to perform optimally in one direction.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker
    Rocker/Camber/Rocker
Rocker/Camber/Rocker shapes seek to give you both hard-carving edgehold on firm snow from camber underfoot with enhanced turnability and float in powder from the rockered tip and tail. This profile is increasingly popular for freeride boards designed primarily for soft snow.
  • Flex Rating: Stiff
    Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
