Mt. Hood local Johnnie Paxson is out there killing it and teaming up with Gigi Rüf's company, Slash for Johnnie's pro model, the Slash Paxson Snowboard. Stocked with Zero Camber, the Slash Paxson offers the best of the rocker and camber worlds for a fun, snappy ride while still being forgiving and jibby. New is the Reactive Flex, which provides an extra bite while carving and turned up edges for hitting rails - it's magic, you should check it out!
Zero Camber Forgiving and versatile, the no-preload profile has no camber or rocker between the contact points. Fun to ride, snappy and poppy. It's Slash's street profile, perfect for jibbing and butters.
Reactive Flex The most advanced board technology available today! A composition of two unique fiberglass lay ups in combination with Slash's new lightweight wood cores that are specifically assembled and profiled by Slash engineers in Switzerland. Reactive flex gives the board the ability to also flex across the width. So, however you bend the board it will react in the best way possible. For example, if you jump on a park rail for a boardslide, the board's edges lift up, creating a convex base which minimizes your chance of catching an edge. The board edges flex downward, creating a concave base which makes your edge bite more into the turns. This is automated flex in 3D!
Medium Perfect for freestyle riding while still providing enough responsiveness to excel all over the mountain
Twin Designed with freestylers in mind, the nose and tip have exactly the same dimensions and the stance is centered, so the board performs equally well regardless of your direction. Built to allows riders to jib, spin, stomp and butter, it not only gives you the pop you need, but the pop you want. Regular or switch, it doesn't matter, it's all the same.
Snap Crackle Pop This core is made out of alternating poplar and beech stringers that give it strength and liveliness. Slash's Swiss engineers also inlaid 4 sections of sturdy spruce into the tail and nose area to increase precision and get the best pop out of the board. Slash uses this in the park and street specific boards.
Sweet Spot 2 cross-shaped carbon fibers placed from the contact point of the nose and tail to the middle of the inserts. This configuration increases POP and strength, bringing more place into your riding.
Progressive Sidecut The discussion of sidecut is simple, it makes the board turn. Now a step ahead we bring you progressive sidecut which is more technical than simple sidecut and is really benefital with hybrid cambers as the contact points of the board become more relevant for smooth turns.
Ultimate Traction Ultimate Traction is a small counter radius(bump) placed in the middle of the board’s sidecut. By positioning this bump instead of using a traditional sidecut, we have improved edge hold and center stability by not only relying solely on the board’s outside contact points. You will have more control of your board especially on ice, less fatigue turning the board and lots more fun!
Base 9900 Racing-9900, the fastest and most dense sintered base on the market today. It also provides the most impact-resistant surface available. This performance base will allow you to lead the pack wherever you are headed. Its high-density molecular structure holds wax longer.
Diamond Stone Finish Diamond-structured stone grinding is the best possible base finish. The grinding occurs on two axes to maximize glide and to optimize the durability of the base. It eliminates the slow, suction feel that come with one dimensional base finishes. This is just an extra step Slash takes to ensure your board performs.

Edges Slash edges have 35% more steel than stock edges from other companies. They are quite simply stronger and more durable than the alternatives. They feel substantial and will take a beating.

Kick Stand Slash's identity shape saves material and weight but also stands up without tipping over like rounded boards do!
Tip Protectors Thin and light, but surprisingly strong, aluminum protectors on the tail and/or nose protect the board from damage that can result from impacts. This small detail makes a big difference for the durability of the deck, especially if your repertoire is more park/urban focused.

Comments about Slash Paxson Snowboard 2015:
Awesome board, super fast sintered base doesn't need waxing super often. The pop is amazing off of lips, and the landings are stable and soft. It holds an edge very well because of the counter-radius in the center. Overall awesome board.
