The Slash Paxson Snowboard is here to change the way we think about snowboards. Part of Gigi Rüf and Johnnie Paxson's new board company, Slash, the Paxson snowboard offers top-of-the-line technology like Zero Camber profile and Carbon Core Handle laminates. Made to destroy any freestyle terrain you can think of, the Slash Paxson Snowboard will take your freestyle riding to new heights!
Rocker Type
Zero Camber - Forgiving and versatile, the no-preload profile have no camber or rocker between the contact points. Fun to ride, snappy, and poppy. It's Slash's street profile, perfect jibbing and butters.
Flex
Medium - Perfect for freestyle riding while still providing enough responsiveness to excel all over the mountain
Shape
Twin - Designed with freestylers in mind, the nose and tip have exactly the same dimensions and the stance is centered, so the board performs equally well regardless of your direction. Built to allows riders to jib, spin, stomp and butter, it not only gives you the pop you need, but the pop you want. Regular or switch, it doesn't matter, it's all the same.
Core
POP Core - Added ash in the nose and tail combined with the perfect combination of materials gives you more pop than any other core design today. The poplar and beech marriage is also a very lively and responsive core for all around riding.
Laminates
Carbon Core Handle - Allows for more effective edge response and overall control with added bi-directional carbon fabric that gives a more finely tuned responsiveness
Base
Sintered Base - Fastest, most durable base available due to high-density carbon molecular structure
Diamond Finish - Gives the base a superb finish that is perfect for absorbing wax
Edges
Ultimate Traction Bumps - 5 strategically placed bumps built into the board's effective edges increases edge hold without increasing drag or sacrificing speed.
35% more steel than typical edges, which means they have two and half times the impact resistance of other edges on the market

  • Terrain: Freestyle
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Flat
    Flat
A flat profile is just as you’d expect – flat from near the tip of the board to near the tail. This shape splits the difference between camber and rocker, with more forgiving turnability than a fully cambered board and more precise edging capability than a fully rockered one
  • Flex Rating: Medium
    Medium
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
