Salomon Salvatore Sanchez Wide Snowboard 2012

Salomon Salvatore Sanchez Wide Snowboard 2012: The Salomon Sanchez Wide Snowboard is the perfect board to begin your conquest. A no-hang, pure Radial Sidecut allows for clean switch tricks and easy spins, along with an Aspen Light Core that never buckles on steep transitions and deep presses, make the Sanchez Wide Snowboard the perfect park lapper.
Flex
Flex Rating: 1 (1 Soft – 5 Stiff) This park board for the rider who loves to jib features a super soft 1 flex with a True Twin Shape that’s freestyle specific with symmetrical core profiling, flex, and a centered binding stance.
Construction and Core
The Salomon Sanchez Wide Snowboard features the Aspen Light Core, a full length, lightweight Aspen wood with high density Birch strips for extra tough insert retention. This is paired with BA Medium Density fiberglass that guarantees a consistent quality level, resulting in a light and lively board.
Shape
Pres-sure Rocker Mustache: the playfulness of full reverse camber with regular kicks.
Created from a perfect circle, Radial Sidecut makes sense for modern park and pipe riding, switch it up and the board rides the same forwards and backwards.
Sidewalls, Edges and Base
Rubber Pads provide 2mm rubber blocks inserted into the high-pressure zones of the ABS sidewalls to dampen vibrations and reduce fatigue in all snow conditions.
S-Glide 900 Extruded Base offers long lasting, low-maintenance glide. This is paired with the Standard Stone Finish that’s the industry benchmark for high-end boards.
Critical Edge Bevel+: only the wide points (the tip and tail) are detuned but with more exaggerated bevel for a more freestyle friendly shred.

Specs

  • Effective Edge: 1190mm (153), 1220mm (156), 1250mm (159)mm
  • Terrain: Freestyle
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker
    Rocker
A rocker board side profile is the opposite of a camber board, with a smooth downward curvature to it and less edge contact length when the board is weighted. Rocker boards float well in powder and pivot more easily underfoot. They also tend to be less “hooky” at both tip and tail and better for landing spin maneuvers when you don’t quite have enough rotation.
