Salomon Salvatore Sanchez Rocker Snowboard 2011 – A slush slayer that takes no prisoners, the Salomon Salvatore Sanchez Rocker Snowboard launches an all-out assault on rails and jumps with a Pres-sure rocker to keep those presses up and a mellow soft flex that’s plenty of fun for freestyle moves. This true twin is perfect for the rider looking to progress on jibs and jumps and promises a good time every time.
Flex Rating: 1 (1 Soft – 5 Stiff) This urban board for the rider who loves to jib features a super soft flex rating of 1 with a true twin shape that’s freestyle specific with symmetrical core profiling, flex and a centered binding stance.
Construction and Core
The Aspen Light core features full length, lightweight Aspen wood with high density birch strips for extra tough insert retention, paired BA Medium Density fiberglass that guarantees a consistent quality level, resulting in a light and lively board. The Pres-sure Rocker profile makes this board perfect for backyard presses, rails and jumps for a loose skate-like ride.
The Salomon Salvatore Sanchez Rocker Snowboard features an easy maintenance Extruded base that offers long lasting glide, paired with the Standard Stone Finish that’s the industry benchmark for high-end boards.
Sidewalls and Edges
The radial sidecut, created from a perfect circle, is designed for modern park and pipe riding and makes your board able to ride the same forwards and backwards. Rubber Pads provide 2mm rubber blocks inserted into the high pressure zones of the ABS sidewalls and dampen vibrations and reduce fatigue in all snow conditions.

  • Terrain: Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker
A rocker board side profile is the opposite of a camber board, with a smooth downward curvature to it and less edge contact length when the board is weighted. Rocker boards float well in powder and pivot more easily underfoot. They also tend to be less “hooky” at both tip and tail and better for landing spin maneuvers when you don’t quite have enough rotation.
