Salomon Salvatore Sanchez Snowboard - Demo 2014

Pour on the picante heat with the Salomon Salvatore Sanchez Snowboard. An Aspen Strong Core, Pres-Sure Rocker, and a soft flex makes this board a fan favorite from Park City all the way to Hintertux. Stand on it and feel the heat while you burn hot laps and set the park on fire. *This is a new demo product used only for show. It has never been used but may have slight cosmetic wear from transit.*
Rocker Type
Pres-Sure Rocker - Salomon designed this board with a Pure Reverse Camber for a playful and easy ride that's more forgiving and fun everywhere you go.
Flex
Flex Rating: 2 (1 Softest - 10 Stiffest) - Soft flexing boards are more maneuverable at slow speeds and more forgiving in general, great for tweaking out tricks.
Shape
True Twin - Salomon's true twin shape is a freestyle specific shape with identical tip and tail lengths and shapes creating a symmetrical core profiling, flex and a centered binding stance.
Radial - Created from a perfect circle, Radial is the classic sidecut for consistent response - forward and switch.
Core
Aspen Strong - CNC - selected high-density FSC certified wood strips for the inserts and rail zones result in improved impact resistance and a predictable flex all season long.
Laminates
BA MD - Medium density European-made fiberglass layers for a guaranteed consistency of quality on light and lively boards.
Sidewalls
Rubber Pads - 2 mm Rubber blocks are inserted into the high-pressure zones of Salomon's ABS sidewalls to dampen vibrations and reduce fatigue in all snow conditions.
Base
Extruded - Offers long lasting glide with a low-maintenance attitude.
Standard Stone Finish - Salomon's basic stone finish is the industry benchmark for high-end boards.
Edges
Bite Free - A factory fully detuned tip and tail for a smoother ride and less hangups while setting an edge

Specs

  • Terrain: Freestyle
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker
    Rocker
A rocker board side profile is the opposite of a camber board, with a smooth downward curvature to it and less edge contact length when the board is weighted. Rocker boards float well in powder and pivot more easily underfoot. They also tend to be less “hooky” at both tip and tail and better for landing spin maneuvers when you don’t quite have enough rotation.
  • Flex Rating: Soft
    Soft
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
