Combining fun pow days with all-mountain performance, get the best of both worlds with the Salomon Rancho Snowboard. Featuring Salomon's new Backseat Camber profile, you get camber under the back foot and freedom under the front foot. With trusty innovative tech like Variable Sidewalls, Quadratic sidecut, and Ghost Green core, the Rancho offers stability, response and all terrain versatility, whether you're shredding it up in powder, park, or groomers you'll have blast on this board. *This is a new demo product used only for show. It has never been used but may have slight cosmetic wear from transit.*
Rocker Type
Backseat Camber - Camber under the back foot for explosive turning capabilities, and flat segments under the front foot for freedom on fun pow days. The best of two worlds, without any unwanted noise vibration.
Flex
Flex Rating: 7 (1 Softest - 10 Stiffest) - A stiff flex for intermediate to advanced riders looking for more precision control at high speeds, whether it be in the park, pipe, or anywhere on the hill
Shape
Tapered Directional - With a lightly tapered (10-15 mm) tail width, turning initiation is loosened up while providing improved floatation in deeper snow, without sacrificing edge hold on hardpack.
Quadratic Sidecut - A blend of elliptic curves for easy turn initiation, effortless direction changes and fluid edge to edge transitions
Core
Ghost Green - To build this light and poppy core, Salomon mixed their best wood strips with some carefully selected sustainable light wood.
Laminates
Ghost Carbon Stringers - Carbon stringers are sewn into a triax layer for reactive pop and stability at high speeds, and easy maneuverability when you're keeping it mellow.
BA MD - Medium density European-made fiberglass layers for a guaranteed consistency of quality on light and lively boards.
Sidewalls
ABC Green Roll - The snap of bamboo, the comfortable ride of cork sidewalls, and the bombproof strength of basalt - ABC Green Roll (Advanced Bamboo Construction) blends natural materials into a supernatural snowboard for more pop and less plastic.
Variable Sidewalls - Get maximum grip and an undeniable smooth ride with variable angles throughout the sidecut for increased edge hold and lightning fast edge to edge transition.
Base
Area51 - Built to go faster and fly higher, the Area51 base is a high-density sintered based laced with a super-secret wax formula, and a specifically engineered factory finish designed for air time and durability.
Fine Stone Finish - Salomon's fine stone finish is particularly efficient on their Sintered EG base - hit the gas in powder or softer snow conditions.
Edges
Royal Rubber Rails - Thicker, softer rubber absorbs impacts and reduces chatter while you ride - protect your edges from blowouts.
All Mountain Edge Bevel - Salomon detuned the tip and tail to a 1 degree edge holding tune throughout the key parts of the sidecut, and back to a 2 degree bevel between the feet delivering a solid edge hold with no hang-ups.

    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.

    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber
    Rocker/Camber
This features rocker in the nose and a camber extending under the feet through the tail. It is Built for riders that demand superior grip, stability, and responsive performance, but who still want to be able to float in powder.
  • Shape: Directional
  • Flex Rating: Stiff
    Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
