For all the Mini Rockers out there who are excited to get on the mountain and tear up some snow, there is finally the perfect weapon for you to use. The Salomon Mini Drift Rocker Wide Snowboard is full of features that will keep your board soft and ready for jibbing and tweaking all over the mountain. The Mini version of the Drift Rocker board is the perfect first step and before you know it this little ripper will be graduating to the real thing.
Rocker Type
Pres-Sure Rocker - Pure Reverse Camber for a playful easy ride that is more forgiving and fun all over the mountain.
Flex
Flex Rating (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - 1, provides a maneuverable ride at slow speeds and is very forgiving. Perfect for a freestyle specific rider who wants to hit the park all day.
Shape
True Twin - Specific to freestyle, this board shape has identical tip/tail lengths and shapes, symmetrical core profiling, flex and a centered stance. Whether you're riding goofy or regular the true twin shape means it doesn't matter.
Sidecut
EQ3 - Equalizer 3 cuts always grip and never slip. OG Equalizer's three straight lines evenly distribute pressure along your edge for easy edge hold even on a softer board.
Core
Aspen - With an Aspen core type you get full length strength with FSC certified Aspen wood with high density birch stripes for improved insert retention.
Laminates
BA Low Density - The BA Low Density construction of this board uses low density fibers that are super lightweight so the board keeps its flex and is easy to manage.
Sidewalls
ABS - These durable sidewalls are put in to protect the core. With this sandwich construction the core of your board will never be touched.
Base
Extruded - Long lasting glide with low-maintenance characteristics
Standard Stone Finish - Salomon's Basic Stone Finish is the equal of most other manufacturer's high end finish.
Edges
Power Steering Edge Tune - This will boost your confidence in all terrains thanks to this fully de-tuned tip, tail and sidecut.
Binding Compatibility
4x4 insert pattern

  • Terrain: Freestyle
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
    Beginner-Intermediate
Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker
    Rocker
A rocker board side profile is the opposite of a camber board, with a smooth downward curvature to it and less edge contact length when the board is weighted. Rocker boards float well in powder and pivot more easily underfoot. They also tend to be less “hooky” at both tip and tail and better for landing spin maneuvers when you don’t quite have enough rotation.
  • Flex Rating: Soft
    Soft
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
