The BTX Banana with Magnetraction combined with a softer flex help you learn the basics of balance and turning and then helps as you progress to new tricks and spins. The catch-free ride of the Roxy Inspire gives you the confidence, hold and control you need to have fun and progress on the mountain.
Rocker Type
Banana Traction, BTX, has rocker between the feet and is flat from the feet to the tip/tail. The board’s rockered mid section, a natural turning arc, flattens out when weighted to provide full nose-to-tail edge contact. The flex pattern includes a slightly stiffer nose and tail for stable landings, increased pop and float-ability in deep powder. This results in a fun and playful board that can slay through powder and hold in the hardpack.

Flex rating - 3 (1soft - 10stiff) The soft flex is friendly and fun, great for riders looking to build on their beginner skill set then progress to new levels.
Construction and Core
Precision Stock core is a lightweight Aspen wood.
Biaxial fiberglass is a two-way fiberglass orientation that is forgiving and fun
Sidewall construction
Shape
True Twin shape means the nose and tail are symmetrical with equal length and width from the center of the board making the board easy to ride regular or switch.
Sidewalls, Edges and Base
CX 2500 Base is an extruded base that is fast and fun; requiring little maintenance.
5 SW Sidewalls are UHMW (Ultra high Molecular Weight) exterior sidewalls made from soy-based elastomer, laminated to 5 internal wood layers for total bomproofness.

    Freestyle
    Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.

    Beginner-Intermediate
    Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.

    A rocker board side profile is the opposite of a camber board, with a smooth downward curvature to it and less edge contact length when the board is weighted. Rocker boards float well in powder and pivot more easily underfoot. They also tend to be less “hooky” at both tip and tail and better for landing spin maneuvers when you don’t quite have enough rotation.

Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
