Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
    Beginner-Intermediate
Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker
    Rocker/Camber/Rocker
Rocker/Camber/Rocker shapes seek to give you both hard-carving edgehold on firm snow from camber underfoot with enhanced turnability and float in powder from the rockered tip and tail. This profile is increasingly popular for freeride boards designed primarily for soft snow.

Comments about Rossignol Scan Snowboard - Youth 2012:

            This is for my son.
I just got it so he has not ridden it yet but I will say this, it appears to be a very nice board. It has rocker very simular to the Gnu B Nice and Lib Tech boards. The Ride Lowride is not the same, has camber (even though says it is a rocker type)and while i like Ride boards, this Rossignol is much better for cheaper. This review may not help much but, if you are looking to get your little shreder into a good board for not much scratch, this will do just fine! I gave it 4 stars cause it has not seen snow yet.

Comments about Rossignol Scan Snowboard - Youth 2012:

I bought this board for my 8 year old who has been snowboarding for the past 2 years. He took it out this weekend, and loved it. I had bought used snowboards in the past, but at this price, I figured I would try out the Rossignol. This is a high quality board for a beginner to intermediate young snowboarder.

Comments about Rossignol Scan Snowboard - Youth 2012:

Unfortunately, I am unable to provide a valid "use" review on this board, but I'm sure my daughter will love it. I couldn't beat the price for the board and the bindings, so I purchased Christmas present early. I will update the review as soon as we get some snow and she starts riding.
