Rossignol Krypto Magtek Snowboard 2014

Rossignol Shop all Rossignol
An all-mountain shred-stick with style, the Rossignol Krypto Magtek Snowboard is a toned down version of the XV Magtek. The Krypto has a nice firm flex and 60% rocker/40% camber story for cruising the whole mountain with power and style. Combined with the amazing edge hold of Magne-Traction, the Rossignol Krypto Magtek Snowboard is ready to rip the mountain in any condition.
Rocker Type
AmpTek All-Mountain - A combination of 60% rocker and 40% camber gives you more control, stability, edge pressure and smoother landings due to the rocker profile in the nose and tail and camber profile under the bindings.

Flex
Super Directional - Very directional flex / Extremely stiff under the back foot for maximum control / Stiff waist for stability at high speed / Medium stiff under the front foot for smoother turns
Flex Rating: (1 Softest - 10 Stiffest) - 8, A stiff flex for intermediate to advance riders looking for more precision control at high speeds, whether it be in the park, pipe, or anywhere on the hill
Shape
Directional - The classic, most versatile snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition. Don't be afraid to ride it backwards!
Core
Twin Wood 3 - Hard and soft woods laminated together for a unique blend of durability, smoothness and lower swing weight.

Laminates
Glass Fiber - Has greater elongation before break than carbon and comes in multiple weights and weavings making it our #1 choice for customized flex and torsional resistance while also stabilizing the mechanical properties of our woodcores over time
Base
Sintered 7500 - A super high density UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight) sintered base with a stone finish gives the board the fastest and most durable base to date.
Edges
Magne-Traction 7M - The original 7M version features 7 deep bumps distributed along the edges. Magne-traction maximizes edge pressure between the feet, bringing this once unreachable "dead area" back to life for more control and stability in the gnarliest conditions.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freeride
    All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
    Freeride
Freeride snowboards are designed for the rider that spends most of the day off groomed runs and in backcountry terrain. They typically have a stiffer flex and are ridden in longer sizes than freestyle snowboards. Freeride snowboards often feature a directional shape that is designed to perform optimally in one direction.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker
    Rocker/Camber/Rocker
Rocker/Camber/Rocker shapes seek to give you both hard-carving edgehold on firm snow from camber underfoot with enhanced turnability and float in powder from the rockered tip and tail. This profile is increasingly popular for freeride boards designed primarily for soft snow.
  • Shape: Directional
  • Flex Rating: Stiff
    Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
