Rossignol Jibsaw Magtek Snowboard 2013

"The Jibsaw is amazing! It's such a versatile board that just kills it at everything!" That isn't a salesman trying to pitch the Rossignol Jibsaw Magtek Snowboard, those are the words of pro boarder Moss Halladay and his experience riding the Jibsaw. With a CBF2 Laminate, you're sure to get perfect edge to edge transitions needed in the park, while the Magne-Traction 7S Edges give you the edge grip you need to scale those insanely high pipe walls. Try out the Rossignol Jibsaw Magtek Snowboard and see what all the fuss is about!
Rocker Type
AMPTEK Freestyle - A combination of 40% Rocker and 60% Camber: rocker in the nose and tail adds stability while the camber under foot adds pop and control.
Flex
Twin Freestyle - A softer waist allows for easy manipulation and control, while stiffer areas under the bindings offer more pop and balance.
Flex Rating: 5 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - Perfect for all mountain riding
Sidecut
True Twin - A stiff nose and tail provide pop and high impact landings, while the soft waist gives balance on rails and smooth transitions.
Core
Wood CBF2 - Incredible stability at high speed and enhanced edge grip
Laminates
CBF2 - A single strip of Continuous Basalt Fiber (CBF) runs along the length of each edge of the board delivering superior grip, excellent stability, magnanimous pop and smooth edge-to-edge transitions. Basalt has a strength-to-weight ratio that exceeds that of fiberglass by a factor of 1.5 and has longer elongation at break than carbon fibers.
Base
Sintered 7500 - A super high density UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight) sintered base with a stone finishing gives the board the fastest and most durable base to date.
Edges
Magne-Traction 7S - Featuring 7 deeps bumps distributed along the edges to maximize the edge pressure between the feet, Magne-Traction brins the once unreachable "dead area" of the board back to life for added control and stability even in the gnarliest conditions. Featuring 50% smaller bumps than the 7M style, the 7S provides a smoother ride without sacrificing continuous edge control.

  • Terrain: Freestyle
    Freestyle
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker
    Rocker/Camber/Rocker
Rocker/Camber/Rocker shapes seek to give you both hard-carving edgehold on firm snow from camber underfoot with enhanced turnability and float in powder from the rockered tip and tail. This profile is increasingly popular for freeride boards designed primarily for soft snow.
  • Flex Rating: Stiff
    Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
