The Rome Whiteroom Splitboard, for those in search of the white room, is a must have for the quiver. For the rider who understands that intimate powder relationships take work, this split board will bring you to the freshest of the fresh. This gem will make sure that your white room will be furnished with matching white curtains.
Rocker Type
Powder-S Camber - Rocker from the front foot to the nose and positive camber from the front foot to the tail. The result is the perfect camber for directional powder riding. It offers a ton of float in the nose and a ton of power in the tail.
Flex Rating: 6 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - A stiff flex for powerful turns and lightning quick response
Directional Twin - Good for those who ride all-mountain, from groomers to park
AirPop Core Matrix - Heavy on the non-heavy side of the spectrum (it's superlight) with five zonal regions of low density wood mixed with poplar for high energy transmission and a responsive reaction
StraightTriax30 - The laminate that covers all the bases—from the park to all mountain peaks, the 30-degree off-axis fibers set the personality of the board to flex into low speed butters and pop into high speed takeoffs. Provides some extra kick in a slash and maintains your style while getting creative on and off the trails.
Kevlar Impact Plates - The sweet spot is under the bindings. With all that abuse, the Kevlar in these plates protects your top sheet and transforms chatter, torque and compression into concentrated pop.
PowerBars: Carbon V - More power, more energy and more carbonation. Pre-formed bands of lightweight carbon guarantee pop in powder.
PressurePop Tech: Kevlar V - Found in Rome's high-end boards with fast power transfer from the bindings to your contact points with the snow, this a lethal combination of ultralight material and highly responsive snap.
SinterSpeed Base - Bomb hills and straight-line runs. By absorbing the most wax a base can handle, this ultra porous sintered technology creates a board with maximum speed output, and minimal input.
Binding Compatibility
Compatible with Voile and Karakoram systems

  • Terrain: Splitboarding
A splitboard snowboard is built specifically for the backcountry rider. Splitboards are designed to break down into two separate halves for touring and uphill travel (with climbing skins). Special bindings are required as well. Once you've reached the top of the terrain feature, you reconnect your splitboard for the ride back downhill. However, it's important to note that you will need appropriate backcountry tools, knowledge of the backcountry, weather and snow conditions and climbing skins to safely take advantage of the freedom of a splitboard.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber
This features rocker in the nose and a camber extending under the feet through the tail. It is Built for riders that demand superior grip, stability, and responsive performance, but who still want to be able to float in powder.
  • Flex Rating: Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
