Wonderful first board, I just learned this year. I started out on a LibTech SkateBanana, which got me looking into Rocker cambers instead of the traditional. It's buttery, light weight and easy to control.

Comments about Rome Tour Snowboard 2013:

I was hesitant to get this board due to the lack of reviews on it, but I'm so glad I went with it! Out of the box it's the best looking board I've had/seen and my friends with Burton Custom flying V's keep taking my board over their own. It's flexible and playful but still stiff enough for powder making it the best all round board I've owned. If you're thinking about getting it just do it and you won't regret it!

First purchased board for me that opened major doors of fun and ability coming from a cambered rental board. Immediately able to do 360's and presses and now working on switch.

Comments about Rome Tour Snowboard 2013:

I am a clearly a beginner only have snowboarding 5 times – 3 of the times was with a rental board and the other 2 with this board. I do not have much to compare to except for the rentals but, I can say that this board has definitely helped me get better.

I have taken the board to local slopes here in Ohio, not 'great' snow late in the season (late Feburary), but I'll take what I can get. In the course of the 2 times I've had it out, I can now link turns and usually keep close to my wife as we move go.

The concave design and rocker profile near the nose and tail is forgiving as I felt instances where I almost caught an edge, but managed to not land on may________. The board feels stable as you skate and ride, but still more playful than a traditionally cambered (heavy) rental. The board holds a pretty solid edge even on the ice packed slopes right now and does feel smoother (less twitchy) than the rentals. The board is light and doesn't tweak your knee as you take the lift and so far has been a great gift to myself.

I have a few dings on the board as I still take my falls. The problem here and now is that there is not really snow, but ice and every fall smashes the board into hard stuff and sometimes the ground. In other places, like Colorado or Utah, things would be great, but late season slopes in Ohio are not as forgiving.

All-in-all, 4 out of 5 for the ride -1 for the dings.

Comments about Rome Tour Snowboard 2013:

I've only been snowboarding 3 times - renting each time. Bought this board based on recommendations, reviews and features. I've taken it out once and compared to renting, it sure makes a difference.

The board feels playful, but also stable, just a little wiggle between the feet - more playful than camber, but not as loose as a flying-v style camber.

Me being new to snowboarding, I still took my falls but not as many. I noticed when the board was forgiving and didn't catch as the rented boards did in the past. By the end of the day, I found it simple to control my speed, I could easily garland and started linking turns fairly well making my last 4 runs without a catch.

I feel that this board is a good choice for me to progress and catch up to my wife and family and can easily provide me many years of fun.

Comments about Rome Tour Snowboard 2013:

For the price this is a fantastic board for the transition from beginner to intermediate. If you wanna master those blue runs and have an easy to turn board for a price that doesn't make you cry this is your board. The rocker style really helps make long traversing easy and it is really tough to accidentally catch an edge. It can get a bit squirrley at higher speeds so just make sure you stay in control!

This board feels very stable and flexible. I am a reletive new comer to snowboarding (only ridden about 5 or 6 times) and I felt very confident and in control. The only down side of the board is it seems to nick along the edges easily. Minor issue as far as I am concerned though.
