Rocker Type

Powder-S CamberRocker from the front foot to the nose and camber from the front foot to the tail allows for perfect powder riding. A ton of float in the nose and a ton of power in the tail for responsive riding.

DirectionalDesigned for set-back stances, with more board in the front of your front foot than in the back of your rear foot, to optimize fast and powerful down-mountain riding.

AirPop Core MatrixFive regions of super-light low-density wood integrated with poplar throughout the core for an extra responsive feel

Kevlar Impact PlatesThe highest level of strength and protection from core damage

StraightTriax30The laminate that covers all the bases, from the park to all-mountain peaks, the 30 degree off-axis fibers set the personality of the board to flex into low speed butters and pop into high speed takeoffs. It provides some extra kick in a slash and maintains your style while getting creative on and off the trails.

PowerBars: Carbon VMore power, more energy, and more carbonation. Pre-formed bands of lightweight carbon add responsiveness and guarantee pop in powder.

Die-cut BaseBase color displayed may not be available. Base colors may vary.

SinterSpeed BaseUltra porous high-end sintered compound absorbs large amounts of wax to maintain high speeds while straight-lining jumps and bombing through powder.

Comments about Rome The Whiteroom Splitboard 2013:

I bought this board because I wanted a split that was reasonably priced, skinned well, and was directional. The whiteroom does all of this. It is one of the better priced splits on the market and Rome presses quality boards. This is the first cambered board I have been on in years. I bought camber because of the benefits while touring and was a little nervous to ride camber again. It rides great and with the huge rockered nose it floats great too. For a Rome board it is a little less skate feel and more surfy (not bad just being a Rome I thought it would be a skate like feel). It does great in angle pow surfing and big lines (I had it in Paradise basin on Ophir pass last weekend). Only complaint is at low speeds it can be hard to turn and having tight trees here in Summit it makes it less than ideal in some situation.
