Product Info

Turn up the amplifier and stomp that distortion pedal off a landing with the Rome Reverb Rocker Wide Snowboard. Basalt Impact Plates and a PopCore Matrix gives great forgiveness on soft landings and superior pop so you can finally land that back 7. Soft enough for butters and poppy for progressive spins off kickers, the Reverb Rocker Wide is one noisy and dependable shred stick. Throw in some rocker between your feet for the best of both worlds.

Product Details

Rocker Type

MtnPop RockerRocker between the feet with positive camber in the nose and tail. For some riders, this is the best of both worlds—plenty of float in powder and playfulness between the feet, and plenty of power and responsiveness to pop off lips and rip turns from the positive camber in the nose and tail.

Flex

Flex Rating: 8 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff)A stiff flex for powerful turns and lightning quick response

Sidecut

QuickRip SidecutAdvanced sidecut geometry gives a short, playful feel at slower speeds and a longer, faster and more stable feel at higher speeds. The mid-board contact points end the running length at slow speeds and add grip at high speeds.

True Twin for easy switch riding.

Core

PopCore MatrixLow density wood in two zones through the board for a lightweight profile with a flexible poplar matrix

HotRods: Glass Single BarrelA glass rod is milled into the core under the bindings and out towards the nose and tail providing quick snappy pop for a quick response.

Laminates

StraightBiax CarbonCarbon is the key ingredient in this laminate that allows a rocked-out profile to deliver a boost of pop with a playful composure. On the smooth, mellow 90 degree platform of the StraightBox laminate, carbon adds longitudinal ollie response.

Basalt Impact PlatesImpact plates deliver anti-compression under your bindings. Durable as a rock, these basalt plates can take whatever you got from heavy drops to big jumps.

Base

SinterTrue BaseA durable structure with wax absorbing traits creates a fast moving base that can hold up to the abuse of park lines and keep up with your crew in the tree lines.

Binding Compatibility

Rome Snowboards will accommodate 2x4 and 4x4 insert patterns.

I use this as my Rome Park Board, the Rome Tour does great on All Mountain days, the Rome Reverb Rocker is a slight all Mountain, mainly Jib Jump Board, very loose and free, holds a great edge on hard pack. Had a Burton Joystick (very similar) but very different on edge hold on Ice and hard pack. The Reverb Rocker is the only board you would ever need, if your into Jumps and Jibs, Park out loud on this baby.

I loved this board. It was amazing and it did everything I need it to do. However on my fourth trip using it I noticed the front tip of the board started peeling up. I took it to the ski shop and the dude said it was a delimitation problem. Basically it caused a lot of hassle and it's still not at 100%. Do yourself a favor and pass up this board. It's not worth getting it broken.

Comments about Rome Reverb Rocker Wide Snowboard 2013:

My friend had this board. I rode it once and bought one of my own. I love the way I feel when I ride it. I feel so free, that I can hit anything on the mountain. Good stability at high speeds, great landings onto flats, effortless floating in the powder. Boxes and rails= awesome tricks. Enough pop to not miss traditional camber. There is more looping out on the tip and tail that needs to be tamed. Once you tame this you will love this board.

I didn't expect this snowboard to perform as well as it does, especially for the price I paid. But it's the nicest looking and best performing board out there! Would definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys tricks, parks and general riding.

Comments about Rome Reverb Rocker Wide Snowboard 2013:

The only thing this board is not great for is jibbing, but that's not what it's made for. The firm flex and hybrid camber shape make it a strong all mountain carving board. Although being a stiffer board there is still a good amount of flex that helps if landing big jumps just a little off balance.

This board was a major upgrade over my previous set-up. The true twin design is a blast to ride and effortlessly allows you to ride switch all over the mountain. It's a light, fun and poppy board that is great to ride in all types of terrain.

Comments about Rome Reverb Rocker Wide Snowboard 2013:

Board rides amazing. Although it takes some getting used to due to the unusual shape of it (personally, my first time having one), it's very fun once you have it on lock. Very easy to pop due to shape so it's almost effortless. Haven't seen any cons to this board yet but I'm also not as picky. Great board, you can't go wrong.

I recently bought this board in 160 to use as a powder days board, and I am very pleased with it. With a slightly set back stance it still rides well switch but in powder it sits up really nicely, gives good support and is really easy to manouver. It is a mid flex for sure not stiff as the Rome details suggest.

Only wish they had a 160 available. 158 is too short for my height and weight as I love to carve and get my jolleys gliding fingers against the snow.

But, in crowded resorts with east coast ice. Board response was almost before I even decided to make a move. Picked up on every slight change in pressure the way I wanted it too.
