The Rome Mod Snowboard is the Michael Jackson of Pop, and like Michael, the Mod is the only one of its kind. The Rome Mod Snowboard is the Rome team riders go-to board for going huge off jumps in the park and sending double corks off backcountry booters. Rome's Carbon HotRods technology with a Carbon Reverse Radial V pattern focuses energy into creating a board that has insane pop potential while adding only minor torsional response. The mod is stable, powerful, and meant for taking you to new heights.
Rocker Type
Stay Positive Camber - Positive camber from contact point to contact point for an ultra-responsive feel. Reliable and durable stiffness while maintaining a distinctive pop.
Flex Rating: 10 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - The stiffest flex rating for the rider who goes off big jumps in the park and the backcountry.
True Twin - Everything from the center of the board out towards the nose and tail is exactly the same. Perfect for riding switch
AirPop Core Matrix - Five regions of super-light low-density wood integrated with poplar throughout the core for an extra responsive feel
HotRods: Carbon Reverse Radial V - Two reverse-V pattern Carbon HotRods milled into the core that channel power into ollies while adding minor torsional response.
SuperlightBiax Laminate - This super light biax pattern is designed to keep the torsional flex smooth to balance out the power boost from the carbon HotRods.
Kevlar Impact Plates - The highest level of strength and protection from core damage
SinterCarbon Base - This base is for the speed-demons who want to go as fast as humanly possible. Carbon additives reduce friction while a highly porous sintered structure absorbs wax for maximum speed.
Binding Compatibility
Rome Snowboards will accommodate 2x4 and 4x4 insert patterns.

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Freestyle
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
Freestyle or park snowboards tend to be a bit shorter in length and love terrain parks, rails, jibs, trash cans, tree trunks, riding switch (non-dominant foot forward), wall rides and more. Freestyle boards often feature a true twin shape, and are typically selected by those looking to ride the terrain park. A more versatile variant of a freestyle board is the all-mountain freestyle, which combines the versatility of an all mountain snowboard with the playfulness of a freestyle snowboard.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Camber
Camber is the traditional profile for snowboards, and still popular among high-level park and pipe riders because it offers maximum energy and pop. A cambered board has a smooth arch underfoot and touches near the tip and tail when unweighted; when the rider’s weight is added, it provides a long, evenly pressured running surface and edge.
  • Shape: True Twin
  • Flex Rating: Very Stiff
    Very Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
