Rome Mod Rocker Wide Snowboard 2012: A rocker riot at its best, the Rome Mod Rocker Wide Snowboard takes you from top to bottom, park to pow, with all the power and pop you can get your hands on. The Rome Mod Rocker Wide Snowboard features Carbon Double Barrel Hot Rods and FreePop Rocker Camber for legit ollie pop in the nose and tail but with control and stability for jumps and landings.
Flex
A high flex is going to give you more pop than you could ever ask for. All-mountain for a reason, the poppy flex allows you to go from 2 foot days to roping ollies and back to the pop with ease.
Construction and Core
Airpop Core matrix is an advanced wood core that has five zones of low-density wood that max out the light factor and Poplar wood that provides high energy return to help power the responsive feel of the board.
SuperLightBiax Laminate has a lightweight 90 degree matrix that balances out the super poppy HotRods to create a feel that is dynamic and also mellow for freestyle finesse.
Carbon Double Barrel Hot Rods have rods of carbon milled into the core for higher ollies and nollies.
Shape
FreePop Rocker Camber has a longer flat mid-section extending outside your bindings and then rocker from there out to the contact points. The rocker allows the board to feel buttery and float in power but the extended flat camber section improves ollie pop, edge control and stability for jumps.
QuickRip Sidecut technology is a unique sidecut geometry that lets the board ride loose and playful at slow speeds and powerful and precise at higher speeds. QuickRip lets a board “ride short” at slow speeds by engaging the mid-section sidecut between the mid-board contact points and lets you “ride long” at high speeds by engaging the full running-length sidecut where the mid-board contact points work to improve edge hold.
Sidewalls, Edges and Base
Sinter Carbon base have carbon nano-additives that work with hard, highly porous sintered structure to crank up your speedabilty.
Impact Edges give greater defense against unintentional rocks or intentional hits of rails in the park.

Comments about Rome Mod Rocker Wide Snowboard 2012:

This is my first board and my first Rome ride ever. I trusted the name and reviews and am so stoked about it. Great design and the board rides with so much flex and control, i love it. Plus I'm a fan of Rome's nose and tail design that eliminates the uber-bubbly round look of most other boards out there. Next time I might go to the standard width and not get a wide board, but that's personal pref.

Comments about Rome Mod Rocker Wide Snowboard 2012:

I bought this board to replace my ancient Ride 168 wide board. I was looking for something shorter and lighter, but with enough stability to handle my 6'2'' height and 215 lbs. This board is obviously a lot shorter than my old one, but it doesn't feel any less stable thanks to the new tech. It's plenty wide for my size 13 boots, floats nicely in powder, and has nice pop in the park. I also really like how smooth it is when transitioning to fakie and back. I haven't caught an edge yet (knock on wood). For the discount this board is being sold for by evo, you really can't go wrong if you're a taller, heavier rider with big feet who wants a snappy, light board that's stable all over the mountain, in the park, and everywhere in between.

Comments about Rome Mod Rocker Wide Snowboard 2012:

I use the board pretty aggressively, and it has proven to allow me to get much better. I push it to do many demanding things and it holds up beautifully, making things that were once difficult much more easily accomplished. The edges get dinged up fairly easily, but this does not take away from the superior performance of the board.

I have been boarding since 1993. It's early in the season but I went to Snowshoe WV for a couple of days and did not fall once. My favorite board yet! Just great all around and I got it for CHEAP!
