The Rome Garage Rocker Wide Snowboard features the best of Rome technology that will take you near and far on the mountain with a freestyle focus. Kill the local fun box and still float in the pow with the Rome Garage Rocker Snowboard.

Product Details

Flex

Medium-soft flex makes for one buttery ride; the Rome Garage Rocker is the perfect blend of park playfulness and down-mountain performance.

Construction and Core

TTT Core Matrix has a distinctive “pop” of wood from tip to tail that feels super dynamic under foot.

StraightBiax Laminate has a glass configuration that steers the board and is torsionally forgiving to keep a super playful feel.

Glass Reverse V Stringer Technology has glass stringers that connect the binding region to the centerline of the nose and tail for more freestyle pop without any freeride torque.

Shape

FreePop Rocker Camber has a longer flat mid-section extending outside your bindings and then rocker from there out to the contact points. The rocker allows the board to feel buttery and float in power but the extended flat camber section improves ollie pop, edge control and stability for jumps.

QuickRip Sidecut technology is a unique sidecut geometry that lets the board ride loose and playful at slow speeds and powerful and precise at higher speeds. QuickRip lets a board “ride short” at slow speeds by engaging the mid-section sidecut between the mid-board contact points and lets you “ride long” at high speeds by engaging the full running-length sidecut where the mid-board contact points work to improve edge hold.

Sidewalls, Edges and Base

XTRD Base has a high 1.45 abrasion resistance making it durable, easy-to-repair and super-fast.

Comments about Rome Garage Rocker Wide Snowboard 2012:

Don't overlook this board. I tend to ride with friends who own the latest, most expensive boards, boots, bindings and outerwear and it doesn't seem to make a difference in their riding. The Rome Garage Rocker 157 is a bargain board that truly rides like the any of the "expensive" boards on the market. If you like a playful board that's lightweight, flexible with just the right stiffness and pop, and transfers edge to edge with ease, then you'll love this board. You won't find me on the mountain without it.

This is the greatest board I have bought yet. The 157cm Wide really helped me out with my larger boots and kept me stable ontop of all the powder. I would reccomend this board to any rider who is looking for a great board at a better price.

Comments about Rome Garage Rocker Wide Snowboard 2012:

I own different brands of boards that cost 2-3 times as much as this and this board seems to be the better ride. It has moved into my daily usage board. I paired the board up with Union DLX bindings. The board comes slightly detuned on the tip and tail. Make sure to wax it before taking it out. I used this board at Brighton, UT and it seems to perform in all terrains from ice, slush, pow, bumps, jumps, boxes, rails, trails, rough terrain left by snowcats and snowmobiles, etc. without any problems. Some reason, the board company rated the board a 5 of 10 in carving but the board easily carves ice.

Purchased for my 14 year old son, 5' 10" 180lbs. 2nd year of boarding, White Pass is our place. I got him the 156 cm and it seems perfect for him. It took him 1 run to get the feel for it then he was confident doing what he likes and more. I then had to strap it on and take it for a spin. It was very easy to turn, lightweight and lots of pop. I ride a K2 Dark Star and had more fun with the Garage Rocker. Next year I will be riding a ROME ?
