Rome Anthem Snowboard 2014

Rome Shop all Rome
The Rome Anthem Snowboard is the powerful and mighty all-mountain destroyer. With the stiffest flex rating, this board is designed to launch off the biggest jumps, drop the gnarliest of cliff drops, and send it down the steepest lines. With Rome's redesigned StraightTriax45 Laminate flex pattern and AirPop Core Matrix this board now has five regions of super light low-density wood integrated with poplar to give an extra responsive grip and kick for roaring fast gut-wrenching speed that all-mountain destroyers need to be the king of the mountain.
Rocker Type
Stay Positive Camber - Positive camber from contact point to contact point for an ultra-responsive feel. Reliable and durable stiffness while maintaining a distinctive pop.
Flex Rating: 10 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - The stiffest flex rating for the rider who goes off big jumps in the park and the backcountry.
Directional - Designed for set-back stances, with more board in the front of your front foot than in the back of your rear foot, to optimize fast and powerful down-mountain riding.
AirPop Core Matrix - Five regions of super-light low-density wood integrated with poplar throughout the core for an extra responsive feel
HotRods: Carbon Single Barrel - A thin carbon rod is milled into the centerline of the board under the bindings and out towards the nose and tail, which provides more pop, without adding any unwanted stiffness.
Kevlar Impact Plates - The highest level of strength and protection from core damage
StraightTriax45 Laminate - 45-degree off-axis fibers provide grip and kick for all-mountain riders. Designed for a rider looking for a precise pop and responsive turns.
PressurePop Technology: Kevlar V - Found in high-end boards with fast power transfer from the bindings to your contact points with the snow, it's a lethal combination of ultra-lightweight material and highly responsive snap.
PowerBars: Carbon V - More power, more energy, and more carbonation. Pre-formed bands of lightweight carbon add responsiveness and guarantee pop in powder.
SinterSpeed Base - Ultra porous high-end sintered compound absorbs large amounts of wax to maintain high speeds while straight-lining jumps and bombing through powder.
Binding Compatibility
Rome Snowboards will accommodate 2x4 and 4x4 insert patterns.

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Camber
Camber is the traditional profile for snowboards, and still popular among high-level park and pipe riders because it offers maximum energy and pop. A cambered board has a smooth arch underfoot and touches near the tip and tail when unweighted; when the rider’s weight is added, it provides a long, evenly pressured running surface and edge.
  • Shape: Directional
  • Flex Rating: Very Stiff
    Very Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
