Rome Agent Snowboard 2014

The Rome Agent Snowboard puts the super in super agent, designed for snowboarders who want to hit every jump they see, send it high out of the pipe, and turn every fallen down tree into a tree jib. With Basalt Reverse-V PressurePop Technology this board will launch you to new heights by harnessing your power and transforming it into massive amplitude to give you that olling power to get you to the next level of snowboarding. The next time that you and your friends wait in line for first chair at 6 A.M. cooking eggs and bacon off a hot griddle make sure you have the Rome Agent as your sidekick.
Rocker Type
Stay Positive Camber - Positive camber from contact point to contact point for an ultra-responsive feel. Reliable and durable stiffness while maintaining a distinctive pop.
Flex Rating: 8 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) - A powerful flex for all-mountain riding
Almost Twin - Similar to true twin with the exception being the nose is slightly longer than the tail for better float in powder
HotRods: Carbon Single Barrel - A thin carbon rod is milled into the centerline of the board under the bindings and out towards the nose and tail, which provides more pop, without adding any unwanted stiffness.
SuperPop Core Matrix - Three zones of low-density wood with extended segments of poplar for a light and smooth flex transition and a highly responsive snappy pop feel
PressurePop Technology: Basalt-V - Lightweight earth friendly material made to direct power from under your bindings to immediate contact points with the snow gives snappy turn initiations and power filled pop.
StraightTriax30 - The laminate that covers all the bases, from the park to all-mountain peaks, the 30 degree off-axis fibers set the personality of the board to flex into low speed butters and pop into high speed takeoffs. It provides some extra kick in a slash and maintains your style while getting creative on and off the trails.
Basalt Impact Plates - Thin reinforcements beneath your bindings to increase strength against core compression caused by bindings
SinterSpeed Base - Ultra porous high-end sintered compound absorbs large amounts of wax to maintain high speeds while straight-lining jumps and bombing through powder.
Impact Edges - These thicker edges provide a greater defense against unintentional rocks or intentional pole bonks.
Binding Compatibility
Rome Snowboards will accommodate 2x4 and 4x4 insert patterns.

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
All-mountain snowboards are designed for exploring the whole mountain. They are your go-to for a snowboard that will do anything. They feel at home on groomers, powder, park runs and almost anything in between. The vast majority of snowboarders choose all-mountain boards for their great versatility. If you’re just getting started or unsure of exactly what you need, an all-mountain snowboard is a great choice.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Camber
Camber is the traditional profile for snowboards, and still popular among high-level park and pipe riders because it offers maximum energy and pop. A cambered board has a smooth arch underfoot and touches near the tip and tail when unweighted; when the rider’s weight is added, it provides a long, evenly pressured running surface and edge.
  • Shape: Directional Twin
  • Flex Rating: Stiff
The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
